For our very first quest of 2017, I would like to invite you to participate with me in Modern Mrs. Darcy’s 2017 Reading Challenge. This reading challenge will last throughout 2017.
The Modern Mrs. Darcy sponsors a reading challenge each year. This year, the site is offering two reading challenges that I encourage you to attempt.
- Reading for Fun
- Reading for Growth
Each list has twelve different book categories or topics. You simply pick a list and read a book in each of the categories. At the end of the year, I will check back with you to see if you completed the quest.
Modern Mrs. Darcy’s site has more information about the reading challenge. The site also links to a toolkit to help you keep on track. Personally, I will be logging my reads on Goodreads.
For each list, you will earn a digital badge and the satisfaction of accomplishing a rewarding goal, and there will be a special badge for those of you who are especially adventurous and complete both lists.
Stan is Director of Technology-Enhanced Instruction. He has over 20 years experience working as an instructional technologist and trainer. He has a master’s degree in computing technology in education and a doctorate in education specializing in instructional technology.
