Quest #14 – 2018 Reading Challenge

Quest #14: 2018 Reading Challenge

For our very first quest of 2018, I would like to invite you to participate with me in one or both of these reading challenges:

These reading challenges will last throughout 2018.

Modern Mrs. Darcy’s 2018 Reading Challenge

The Modern Mrs. Darcy sponsors a reading challenge each year.

The list has twelve different book categories or topics. You simply read a book in each of the categories and keep track of your progress. At the end of the year, I will check back with you to see if you completed the quest.

Modern Mrs. Darcy’s site has more information about the reading challenge. The site also links to a toolkit to help you keep on track.

Book Riot’s 2018 Read Harder Challenge

The Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge is a bit more difficult. Their list has 24 books; however, you can count the same book for multiple tasks. The New York Public Library is supporting this challenge with a challenge of their own—read these books only with resources checked out of a library. I know the JCC library would be behind this. The Book Riot site also has a pdf list so that you can keep track of your progress.

Personally, I will be logging my reads on Goodreads. Come to join me there.

For each list, you will earn a digital badge and the satisfaction of accomplishing a rewarding goal, and there will be a special badge for those of you who are especially adventurous and complete both lists.

Sign up for the challenge!
