TEI Workshop – How to Incorporate Badging into your Program

TEI Workshop - How to Incorporate Badging into your Program

Are you interested in using badges to recognize participation or skill but don’t know where to start? In this presentation, we will explore badges both inside and outside of Blackboard.

You can award badges for the completion of a project, mastery of a skill, or levels of experience. Badges can help coax learners to new levels of achievement. You can provide a learning path for students using badges to mark the way. Topics we will cover include:

  • Create and Issue Blackboard Achievements
  • Create and Issue Badges using Credly
  • Using the Mozilla Backpack to store and track badges
  • Developing a badging ecosystem

Location: HULT 154 (AV center) and LLAC 317 (If you are on the Dunkirk campus and would like to participate, please let me know so that I can make room and connection arrangements.)
